Important Women Who Code

      Computer Programming has one the biggest imbalanced gender ratio in the workforce. Nonetheless, there are many important women in history who have changed the future of coding through creative inventions that were never done before. For example, Margaret Hamilton was the software engineering director and wrote the code for the project Apollo Guide Computer (AGC). This code was able to create a computer that was also portable.

Girls Get STEM Success Stories provides success stories on women in STEM professionals and Highschool students. Interviewing women from a range of professions provides insight on whether the job is right for you. Girls Get STEM Resources that teach free lessons on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. These lesson plans provide a way for users to explore their future occupation, learn new information, and demonstrate their understanding through tests. In addition, there is a list of other programs for K-12 students who want to become more involved in the female STEM community. This list contains other helpful websites that hope to unite women by standing together and making a change.
